These Grade 3 English video lessons have been developed as part of government effort to improve literacy levels of learners in Kenya through digital learning. With Grade 3 learners as the main target group, the content is designed in a well laid out format that enables learners to use the lessons individually. Teachers may also utilise these video lessons for classroom instruction. They are formatted for a diverse range of platforms. A learner can easily access them using a mobile phone, tablet or computer (desktop or laptop). The 60 Grade 3 English video lessons were developed by a team of experts using the revised Grade 3 English textbook and Teacher’s Guide.

The video lessons were developed through a collaborative effort between the Tusome Early Literacy Programme and the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). The production of these video lessons was made possible through the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
