Introduction


The HIV virus is found in blood and some body fluids. HIV can be transmitted when a sharp object that has been used by an infected person is shared with a person who is not infected. Sharp objects include things like needles, razors, instruments in the geometrical set and scissors. It is not good to share personal items such as toothbrushes and earrings. Some children get HIV from their mothers. It is also possible to get the virus from an infected person if one has an open wound and comes into contact with blood or other body fluids from the infected person. You cannot tell whether a person has HIV or not by the way they look. This can only be tested by a doctor in the hospital
