Read the following story and answer the questions.
| During the August holiday, Lemayan went to visit his uncle in Nairobi. His uncle met him at the Machakos bus terminus and took him to his home. When they arrived, lemayan saw many things he had not seen before.
He saw a television set from where a person was talking. He sat on the sofa set and his uncle’s wife brought him cold soda from the fridge. On the floor, there was a very beautiful red carpet. After supper, he was shown where to sleep. The bedroom had a large bed, clean white bed sheets, two blankets, a light blue bed cover and two pillows.
When he woke up the following morning, he found his aunt preparing tea on the jiko. She asked him to fetch water from the plastic water tank to wash his face. Later, they took a cup and served from a flask. When he went back home, he told his friends about his visit. |
